Riverside Scotland is celebrating a double success after being shortlisted in two categories at the Scotland Energy Efficiency Awards 2026.
The organisation has been recognised in the Large Scale Project category for its first phase of retrofit works in Pennyburn, Kilwinning, as well as being shortlisted for Housing Association of the Year at the same awards.
The Pennyburn project represents a major investment in improving homes across the community, delivering a range of energy efficiency upgrades designed to enhance comfort, reduce energy use, and provide long-term benefits for customers.
Residents are already experiencing the impact, with many describing a “night and day difference” in their homes following the improvements.
The shortlisting reflects the scale of the transformation delivered in Pennyburn, as well as the strong collaboration between Riverside teams and retrofit partners, Union Technical who have worked together to deliver high-quality outcomes for customers.
Being recognised in the Housing Association of the Year category further highlights Riverside Scotland’s wider commitment to investing in homes and communities, and delivering services that make a meaningful difference to people’s lives.
Managing Director Gary Naylor said:
“We’re incredibly proud to see our Pennyburn project recognised at a national level, and to be shortlisted for Housing Association of the Year at the same awards. These achievements reflect the hard work, expertise and dedication of our colleagues and partners, as well as the real difference these improvements are making to our customers’ lives. It’s about more than energy efficiency—it’s about creating warmer, healthier homes and stronger communities.”
