Make the most of your boiler

Using your timer settings is one of the best ways to save energy and money.

  • Set your heating to come on 30 minutes before you wake up
  • Turn it off 20 minutes before you leave the house

This helps keep your home warm when you need it and reduces wasted energy.

Temperature tips
Turning your thermostat down by 1°C can save around £90 a year on heating.

Recommended temperatures:

  • Living room: 21°C
  • Other rooms: 18°C

Try lowering your thermostat by one degree at a time until you find the right balance for comfort and savings.
