Pennyburn waste collection

Irvine Housing Association, in partnership with the Pennyburn Tenants and Residents Association, recently provided skips in the Pennyburn area for residents to dispose of rubbish.

The skips were provided to support the community, improve the neighbourhood and reduce the high level of fly tipping and dumping of rubbish across the estate, which is a continual problem for the local council and the association.

Over the past 48 hours the skips have been filled, however rubbish continues to be dumped in the surrounding area. As the skips are overflowing, the association will take steps to have the skips uplifted and the area cleared. Unfortunately, no further skips will be provided at this time. Until the area is cleared, residents should not leave rubbish and household items in the area now that the skips are full.

If you have household waste to dispose of, you can arrange a collection with North Ayrshire Council here or take it to your nearest Household Waste Recycling Centre.
